Can anyone see any problems using an internal and an external filter in a 200L aquarium?

I've been given an external filter but it's not quite big enough for the tank. I already have an internal filter. Can I use both? Will it make a difference?

    Yes you can use both just position them on different ends of the tank and it will be fine…more filtration the better
