Which filter is better Rena Xp3 or an equivelant Eheim filter?

Looking for a canister filter for a 55 gallon tank, I'd rather over filter than under filter and understand you want a filter rated 3 to 4 times the tank capacity. Which filter would be better?

I use a Rena XP3 on a 75 gallon tank with a 8 inch Florida River Cooter. It’s rated for 175 gallons per hour. I have never had a problem with this model, and it’s still going strong.

I’ve never used the Eheim filters, but I have never heard anything bad about them either.
